Nature sights, Nature park and nature reserve

Easy walking or hiking trail along the energy portals in Langenegg. At the end, the path still leads across the beautiful "Nord" nature reserve, a well-preserved moorland landscape with large areas of raised bog and fen.

Several energy portals "Am Bach" (sun, wind, water) form the beginning of the hike. Later, in the forest, you come across the portals "Sagenhaftes" and "Ruhe". From the "Nord" conservation area, the path leads back to the village via Leiten, with the last energy portal "Am Kapf" offering a wonderful 360° panoramic view.

Route description:

The village of Langenegg has been committed to sustainability, energy and climate protection for years. In 2010, Langenegg received the European Village Renewal Award. The various "energy portal paths" make energy tangible and experienceable. The path begins at the municipal office. It leads through the red portals to the sundial and through the wind and water portals with their energy games. At Hotel Krone, the path crosses the main road and continues to the Sagenhaftes portal. Resembling a small coliseum, the forest square offers space for legends and lore. The trail continues through the forest path to the Portal Ruhe with its barefoot spiral made of natural materials. A wooden swing and comfortable wooden loungers invite you to relax and unwind. There are options for continuing the hike through the cool forest path, following the white-red-white markings through the beautiful moorland and flora down to the mouth of the Weissach. Now walk along the Achtal valley to the art portals created by wood artists along the Bregenzerache river. From the old railway station area, the trail leads back to the municipal road and into the centre of the village.
