Kristallhöhle Kobelwald
The Kobelwald Crystal Cave is located above the hamlet of Kobelwald near Oberriet in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley.
It captivates thousands of visitors every year. The cave atmosphere, the stalactites, past sparkling calcite crystals, the rushing water and the sound and light conditions exert a great fascination on younger and older visitors. As a walk-in, water-bearing cave with a large crystal deposit, it is unique in Switzerland.
Cave Tours
The crystal cave is ideally suited as an illustrative object for natural history lessons, and is often chosen as a destination for school trips and family, company or club excursions. Our trained cave guides provide a wealth of information about the cave's formation and the individual areas during the tour.
For guided tour requests, please leave a message on our answering machine or use the contact form Mon-Fri, but at least 48 hours before your desired visit. Cancellations must be reported to the cave warden at least 24 hours before the agreed date.
The cave warden (Tel. +41 71 761 19 77) will be happy to call you back during our office hours (Tues. and Thurs. from 18.00 to 19.00) to arrange a definite appointment.
On request, the cave warden can also organise extended guided tours or guided tours for people with disabilities.
